Welcome to my Canucks blog

Hi Hockey fans,

I started this blog a couple of years back but have decided to start regularly posting again.

A bit about me

I am a lifelong fan of the Vancouver Canucks. I started regularly watching around the 1992-93 season. I attended my first game back in 1993 vs. the Ottawa Senators at the old Pacific Coliseum. I attend one to two games a year

Below are some group shots of games I attended. I am the one wearing glasses wearing the jersey from the 2003-06 era

Why I love the Canucks

The easy answer is because I am born and raised in Burnaby, BC. However, it is more than that. The Canucks are an entertaining team that prides itself on winning. Most nights, you will see a competitive game and solid efforts from the team. I am a diehard fan, cheering the team on no matter how bad they are playing. The organization prides itself on community service, led by the Sedin twins who donated 1.5 million to the Canucks children's foundation a few years back. I also like to give back to the community by volunteering for the Canadian Cancer Society as a dispatcher for their volunteer driver's program. I also am a zone captain for the door to door campaign, and canvass in April. I take part in Relay for Life every year and an a street team volunteer for the daffodil campaign. But I digress. Another great thing about the Canucks is the fan base. Canucks fans are passionate about the team. You go on twitter during a game and you can get into great debates with some of the fans and the reporters from the various local papers and blogs.

Stay tuned Canucks fans. I will be trying to post once a week
